A Classic Commercial for Kellogg's Sugar Smacks that aired during 1954. This is from an episode of "Super Circus", the complete telecast can also be found on IA. This classic commercial features Mary Hartline, a popular television personality at the time due to her friendly screen personality, which appealed to both kids and their fathers. This is not really Mary Hartline at her best, but it is still a moderately enjoyable commercial.
WARNING: Don't watch this if you are afraid of clowns. That would just be silly. You don't wanna be silly, do you?
Also of note: quite a few episodes of this series were preserved by the host, these almost always contain original commercials. I'm pretty sure he has since donated them to be preserved by a media musuem.

I really like Super Circus as a retro program but I eat Sugar Smacks, (now known as just "Smacks"), and I really prefer "Dig `em" the frog over the Super Circus cast. If I remember correctly, Kellogs tried to replace the frog with something else in the late 70's/80's and the public hated it so they brought "Dig`em" back. Does anyone else remember that?

Hey Mary! You know what else would be fun??
Yeah Clowny! Poking you in the head with a screwdriver!!!
The first time they did the "swing", they really didn't do anything but just bob and clap, and then Mary was like "Gee! That was FUN!!" YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!
Thanks for the upload!

Ah, good. Nice to watch. I like it. This is a good ad with lots of set design. Notice the proto-rap jingle. This style of vocal can be heard on painfully dated hipster music of the time. Overall this is a good ad.
